Transforming Urban Regeneration: Supernova Improves Operations with a Record-Breaking ERP Implementation

Born in 2022 from the venture between Heliopolis and Museum companies, Supernova is where urban regeneration and real estate meet innovation. Committed to enhancing the quality of living, sustainable resource utilization, and the intelligent use of digital technologies, the company is poised to reshape the future of these sectors.

The Challenge

With a strong growth trend and ambitious projects starting in 2023, Supernova recognized the importance of a robust solution capable of managing orders, supporting expansion, and streamlining business volumes across its twelve companies. The main challenge was optimizing operations to meet the exponential volume increase resulting from the rise in new real estate transactions.

To solve this challenge, a new ERP management system that integrated with a Document Solution was needed. This would allow for comprehensive control of operations and address current gaps. In particular, the new ERP should:

  • facilitate integrated control of projects and contracts;
  • enable precise management control;
  • optimize analysis and managerial reporting;
  • allow for a consolidated corporate view.

The Approach

Following a comprehensive assessment, Supernova selected SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, a cutting-edge ERP solution delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS). The project goal was to delineate a unified management model and ensure its seamless implementation, capitalizing on existing tools within an integrated system.

As a recognized authority in ERP, Avvale had the expertise to guide Supernova through this transformative journey. Leveraging experience, we harnessed the innovation of SAP S/4HANA, enhancing the business model with new features that allowed us to define a global standard.

The implementation adopted the greenfield approach, a delicate operation with substantial business benefits. Recognizing the sensitivity of this approach, Avvale tailored its strategy to align with the company's profile, business processes, organizational structure, complexity, user dynamics, IT staff organization, and overall business project commitment.

A hybrid agile approach using SAP best practices was instrumental during the exploration phase, leading to optimized processes and a quicker project implementation. Our methodology played a pivotal role in completing the project efficiently within a record timeline of just 6 months, earning us the Rapid Time to Value award at the SAP Quality Awards.

The Impact

The implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud marks a profound shift in Supernova's operational landscape. The transition to structured process management has empowered the organization with real-time, reliable information, tailored to individual user profiles. Integrated data and document management have boosted efficiency, laying a robust foundation for future expansions.

Opting for a cloud-managed system ensures not only business continuity and scalability but also heightened security. This solution provides automatic software updates and disaster recovery, crucial for continuity and risk mitigation.

The innovative ERP system efficiently manages purchasing, job orders, supplier orders, contracts, general ledger, trial balance, treasury, and cash flow. Centralized data management guarantees accuracy and consistency, minimizing errors and enhancing productivity. Supernova gains control over costs, revenues, and working capital with integrated and timely information. Workflow alerts, particularly on mobile platforms, streamline critical processes and minimize delays.

Additionally, the cloud-based solution inherently fosters resource optimization and energy efficiency, aligning the organization with environmentally responsible practices.
